Artist's CommentsDarkness poured out of Kraz' bare hands, crawling away from the light the assassin stood in. Deep growling sounded through the hall, two red eyes shone out of the dark. A shadow over his face, something blue gleamed out of it. "Never ever make me take my gloves off for it'll be your death..." Kraz whispered, eyeing his enemy. "Oh, wait. You already did. DIE." --- Let that be a warning, guys... He's not a guy with good temper if you did something specific... Well, whatever. DANGIT! I FINISHED IT! 8D8D8D8D8D Look at it! The details! The fur! AND THESE EYES! AND the awesome man in the middle who is MINE, MINE, and ONLY MINE!!! D< It's Kraz and his familiars, two helldogs. <3 Isn't he awesome?! I love this picture, I love it... Well, at least I had the patience to finish the picture... How long it took me? ... THREE. FREAKING. WEEKS. If you count away November... Although there are still some flaws, I'm really proud of this picture! XDXD I LOVE IT, dangit!!! Oh, look at the eyes... So gleamy... So... RED... Such a thing that sticks out of the black background... AIEH! <3<3<3 And, btw, I love Kraz. xD He's such a goddamn... Nevermind. ^^" It took me about 5 hours to set the muscles, and my sis told me it's still not right... but I guess, for my first shot it's good enough. Don't look at the shoes, but look at the ground. NO TEXTURES. EVERYTHING MADE WITH BARE HANDS. The fur killed me. Not because it was hard - it wasn't, really - but because it was so MUCH D: The eyes were harder, but I think they're worth the time. (1 hour each) <= I know I'm slow, but it's my first picture with so many details! xD And the title... was because I was inspired to this picture by "Disturbia" by Rihanna and by the Crazy Writing Contest from `emmil... Something made me pretty mad back then... But whatever. His coat's gone! D8 One day, I'll explain it - I promise! So, wish you all a good day! -- Btw: Are YOU a Krazaholic? I am. >D Kraz Noirame & Artwork (c) chinara/Denise Ho/me Made with Photoshop CS3 and Wacom Intuos3 GT CommentsLooong comment! XD But I love your long artist comments.
I love how you made the eyes like a focal point, and the spotlight is a perfect little detail touch that definitely makes this piece. The claws, teeth, and gums look very painterly, if I do say so myself. Your use of reflective lighting is very good, especially the way you added some color value to the highlights (that's important!). The way the dogs fade into the background is really cool as well!! I'm finding tons to love! And guess what? It's not Christmas yet. You DID IT!! Denny, prepare to be surprised!! Probably not anytime soon, though. But you will be. -- My community club sponsor once said a very profound thing that changed my future forever: "If I could write a book, I'd write The Key to Effective Parenting: or 1,001 uses for duct tape." Heh, ain't I famous for it?
Yeah, I always wanted the gleaming tension... And the spotlight was a dumb idea at first. xD It took me one hour to make it right! D: Oh, thanks. But I don't like them... >.< I hate these teeth and stuff... I did? O-o they do? O-o Wow, I'm a magician... 8D8D8D AWESOMENESS! -- [...] Then, one of them lowered his binoculars. "That's hundred bucks for me, Scar." One hour well spent! :3 And aw, don't be hard on yourself! The technique you used on the teeth and stuff adds a good artistic touch! Yes, you did! Magic! And man, compare that to some of your older CG art-improvement improvement improvement!!! <3 Yes! Get excited! -- My community club sponsor once said a very profound thing that changed my future forever: "If I could write a book, I'd write The Key to Effective Parenting: or 1,001 uses for duct tape." |

The thing that I suppose sticks out the most for me as being a problem is the chest area. You tried really hard with it and I can tell, but I think you emphasized it way too much
Let's bring out the very... well built... Brad Pitt

The abs are meant to stand out, sure, but it shouldn't stand out too much and should blend into the skin really well. It should be subtle, but still there. Do you know what I mean? It's the same problem with the shadows on the hand bones. If you're going to put that much shadow on those details, you should do the same with the rest of the skin.
Anyways, I hope that helps out a bit
